PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

This item supports the Board of County Commissioners' Value of "cooperatively delivering an efficient and accessible regional intermodal transportation network" with the Goal of supporting "the development, design and construction of sustainable, multi-modal transportation facilities throughout the County, to meet the demands of residents, travelers and businesses."

On November 5, 2019 (Item No. 7), the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2019-485 supporting the City of Oakland Park's Complete Streets and Local Initiatives Program grant application to the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements along NW 21st Avenue from Oakland Park Boulevard to NW 26th Street (Exhibit 2).
