A. MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator to execute Letter of Agreement between the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration and Broward County (subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney) in the amount of $315,449, effective October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023, to provide matching funds for the State of Florida Medicaid Low Income Pool program that will be distributed to federally qualified health centers, such as Broward Community and Family Health Centers, Inc.; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Agreement.

B. MOTION TO APPROVE waiver of conflict under Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes, for the following Broward County advisory board member holding an employment or contractual relationship with an entity receiving funds for the performance of services under this agenda item: Rosalyn Frazier.

Why Action is Necessary
A. Section 409.915, Florida Statutes, requires local governmental entities provide matching funds for the Medicaid Low Income Pool ("LIP") program.
B. A waiver of conflict arising under Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes, requires two-thirds approval by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Commission").
What Action Accomplishes
Approval of Motion A provides required matching funds to the LIP program for uninsured residents who receive medical services at federally qualified health centers ("FQHC").
Approval of Motion B waives the existence of any conflict arising under Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes, as authorized under applicable law.
