A. MOTION TO APPROVE Contract No. 22/23-GR-CAC26 between the Florida Network of Children's Advocacy Centers, Inc., ("FNCAC") and Broward County in the amount of $309,334, effective retroactively from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, to fund advocacy and mental health services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members or caregivers; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; authorize the County Administrator to execute amendments to the Contract that do not impose any additional financial obligations on the County, subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Contract.

B. MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution within the Grant in Aid Fund to appropriate revenue from FNCAC in the amount of $309,334 for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 to fund advocacy and mental health services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members or caregivers.

Why Action is Necessary
A. and B. Section 20.31(b)(3), Broward County Administrative Code, requires that the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Commission") approves all state and federal grant agreements.
Section 129.06(2)(d), Florida Statutes, requires a budget resolution to recognize revenue.
What Action Accomplishes
Approval of Motions A and B allows for the delivery of advocacy and mental health services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members or caregivers.
