PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY AND BRIDGE MAINTENANCE DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item supports the Board of County Commissioners' value of "cooperatively delivering an efficient and accessible regional intermodal transportation network" with the goal of supporting "the development, design and construction of sustainable, multi-modal transportation facilities throughout the County, to meet the demands of residents, travelers, and businesses.
This item approves an Agreement between Broward County (County) and the City of Pembroke Pines (City), where the County will construct the Flamingo Greenway (Greenway), a two-and-a-half-mile multi-purpose path on County-owned property along the west side of Flamingo Road from Pembroke Road to Sheridan Street in the City of Pembroke Pines (Exhibit 1).
