Summary Explanation/Background

THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, AND THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

The Resilient Environment Department requests authorization for nine employees to travel to Atlanta, Georgia from April 18-19, 2023, to attend the 2023 ESRI Southeast User Conference, which will be held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis hotel (Exhibit 1).

 

The ESRI Southeast User Conference provides user-to-user communication and collaboration, encouraging learning about real-life GIS experiences, best practices, and techniques, which are useful for specific projects.

 

The ESRI Southeast User Conference is a cornerstone of the southeastern US’s GIS community, with over 1,000 annual attendees from nearly every commercial sector, government organization, and nonprofit field.
