THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This item supports the Board's Value of "Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives" and Goal "Ensuring accessible, seamlessly integrated investments in renewable energy, sustainable practices, manufacturing, resilient infrastructure, and environmental protection.

Hortt Park (OS-18) is a 5.9 acre site located in a residential neighborhood (Shady Banks) south of Davie Boulevard, on the south side of SW 14th Court, just east of SW 18th Avenue, owned and operated by the City of Fort Lauderdale ("City"). The Park primarily consists of parking spaces, a children's playground, a softball field, fitness trails, a tennis court, a basketball court, and a community center. The Park was acquired and improved with funds from the 2000 Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond ("Park Bond") Program.
