In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.32.c, Competitive Sealed Proposals, Board approval is required prior to advertisement for Request for Proposals with an anticipated value of more than $500,000.

Approves a Request for Proposals solicitation to engage the services of a qualified firm to provide consultant services for the wind mitigation retrofit and improvements to the Central and North Homeless Assistance Centers (HAC) facilities.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT / CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT DIVISON RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development established no goal participation as this is a federally funded project (Exhibit 2).
The purpose of this solicitation is to engage the services of a qualified firm to provide consultant services for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) wind mitigation retrofit and improvements to the Broward County Central and North Homeless Assistance Centers (HAC) facilities, located at 920 NW 7th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311 and 1700 Blount Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 respectively.
