THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The Children's Services Board (CSB) is comprised of 20 members appointed by the Broward County Commission. The Broward Sheriff's Office is one of the six organizations that nominate a member to be appointed by the County Commission.
The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the CSB pursuant to Section 1-485, Broward County Code:
• Sarah Gillespie Cummings as the Community Programs Operated by the Broward Sheriff's Office representative.
Ms. Gillespie Cummings was nominated by the Broward Sheriff's Office to serve on the CSB on October 20, 2020. The County Attorney's has determined that Ms. Gillespie Cummings qualifies for appointment (see Exhibit 1).
