THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The Children's Services Board (CSB) is comprised of 20 members appointed by the Broward County Commission. The School Board of Broward County (School Board) is one of the six organizations that nominates a member to be appointed by the County Commission.
The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the CSB pursuant to Section 1-485, Broward County Code:
• Debra Hixon as the School Board of Broward County Representative.
Ms. Hixon was nominated by the School Board to serve on the CSB on November 17, 2020. The County Attorney has determined that Ms. Hixon qualifies for appointment (Exhibit 1).
