Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Office of Economic and Small Business Development established a County Business Enterprise participation goal of 25% for this construction project (Exhibit 2).

The purpose of this solicitation is to engage the services of a qualified, specialized, and experienced general contractor to provide construction services for a post-security walkway for passengers to move from terminal to terminal without being required to exit and re-enter Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security screening checkpoints within the Broward County Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (Airport). The work includes the construction of a two-story, 508-foot-long connector between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and a two-story, 192-foot-long connector between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 at the Airport.
