Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (“Land Development Code”) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board.

Approves a plat note amendment subject to staff recommendations and conditions assuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions.

 

This plat is located on 5.3 acres on the west side of Federal Highway, between Northeast 5 Street and Northeast 6 Street in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The plat is restricted to 418 midrise units and 28,000 square feet of commercial use, excluding banks. Bank uses are not permitted without the approval of the Board who shall review and address these uses for increased impacts. The applicant is requesting to add 7,000 square feet of commercial use, no changes to the existing 418 midrise units and to remove language regarding bank uses.
