In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.47(a), Award and Execution Authority, the Board shall make all awards, and authorize the execution of the associated contracts, with a value of more than $500,000, inclusive of the value of any renewals or extensions provided for in the contract.

THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE PORT EVERGLADES DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) did not reserve this procurement for Small Business Enterprise under the Sheltered Market Program or assign County Business Enterprise participation goals (Exhibit 2).
The purpose of this contract is to provide wire rope for the cranes that are in operation at Port Everglades.
On February 25, 2022, the Purchasing Division received a letter from Miami Cordage, LLC, the apparent low bidder, requesting to withdraw its response for Bid No. OPN2123956B1, stating that the firm inadvertently submitted the same unit price for Line No. 6 (46MM Diameter Rope) and Line No. 8 (30MM Diameter Rope).
