MOTION TO APPROVE First Amendment to Contract No. 34346-23 between the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition, Inc., and Broward County, revising the total budgeted award amount from $4,628,015 to $4,576,412, effective November 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, to provide community-based substance use disorder treatment services; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; authorize the County Administrator to execute amendments to the Contract, subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney, that do not impose additional financial obligations on the County; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Contract as amended.

THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE BROWARD ADDICTION RECOVERY DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action supports the Commission's value of "building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives," and the goal to "deliver accessible human services that holistically address the whole person collaboratively and compassionately." Approval of this action enables Broward County to continue providing community-based SUD treatment services to eligible adult residents served by BARD.
