MOTION TO APPROVE Fifth Amendment to the Agreement between Broward County and Oracle Elevator Holdco, Inc. (BLD2116389B1) to extend the Agreement an additional six months, through July 31, 2024, and add additional compensation for this extension in the total not-to-exceed amount of $566,245, for a new total not-to-exceed amount of $6,777,470; and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same.

Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with Sections 21.47(a) and 21.53 of the Broward County Procurement Code, this amendment requires Broward County Board of County Commissioners approval.
What Action Accomplishes
Provides for necessary maintenance and repair services for elevator and escalator units throughout the Port while the County completes the procurement process for a new contract.

THE PORT EVERGLADES DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.
This action supports the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") Value of "Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives" and the Goal of "Ensuring economic opportunities and a sustainable economy, with an emphasis on Broward's lower and middle class."
On March 5, 2019 (Item No. 36), the Board approved an agreement with Oracle Elevator Company (which later merged into the surviving corporation, Oracle Elevator Holdco, Inc.) ("Oracle") for the maintenance and repair of elevators and escalators within Port Everglades ("the Agreement"). The Agreement provided for an initial two-year term, commencing February 1, 2019, and three one-year renewal options.
