In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.47 (a)., Award and Execution Authority, Board approval is required for awards exceeding $500,000, inclusive of the value of any renewals or extensions provided for in the contract.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) established a County Business Enterprise (CBE) goal of 25% for this contract. Properties of Elegant Distinction, LLC committed to 25% CBE participation, which was reviewed and approved by OESBD. The contract is in its initial one-year term.
On June 13, 2023 (Item No. 29), the Board authorized the County Administrator to approve and/or execute agreements, contract amendments, work authorizations, advertisements of competitive solicitations, and other documents during the Broward County Board of County Commissioner's 2023 Summer Recess (between June 14, 2023 and August 22, 2023).
