Summary Explanation/Background
The proposed Resolution amends Section 40.23 of the Broward County Administrative Code to repeal the fee related to County Parking Facility Licenses ("Licenses"). The Licenses are no longer deemed necessary after studies showed no degradation or exceedance of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards caused by parking facilities. A concurrent agenda item contemplates repeal of such Licenses by amending Sections 20-174 through 20-176 of the Broward County Code of Ordinances. The amendment also increases the Air Quality License fee by $20.00 to $200.00 to account for rising inflation and increased administrative costs.
