Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") approval is required for the execution of this Public Transportation Grant Agreement ("PTGA").

Allows the Broward County Aviation Department ("BCAD") to accept grant funding from the State of Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") for the construction of the Mitigate RW 1L-19R Crossings & Extend TW A project ("Project") at Broward County's North Perry Airport ("HWO").

Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action allows BCAD to accept grant funding from FDOT for the construction of the Project at HWO.
The total construction cost for the Project is estimated to be $2,376,105 ("Construction Cost"). As outlined in the PTGA, FDOT will provide grant funding for 5% of the Construction Cost, estimated to be $118,805. BCAD anticipates that the Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA") will provide grant funding for 90% of the total Construction Cost, estimated to be $2,138,495 and Broward County ("County") will fund the remaining 5% of the Construction Cost, estimated to be $118,805, and will co...
