Summary Explanation/Background

The 9th annual Jammin’ in the Park will take place on April 22, 2023, at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium. This free event, hosted by the City of Lauderhill, is a full day of music, international food, and fun. This year the event is also being hosted by Lauderhill Healthy You, and will also include onsite vaccinations, boosters, educational materials, and more. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Fore Life, Inc, a not-for-profit charity that uses sports to instill better decision-making skills in at-risk youth to help them survive and thrive.

This item, if approved, would authorize a $50,000 sponsorship of Jammin’ in the Park, and authorize the County Administrator to execute any necessary sponsorship documentation (including agreements), subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.
