MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on March 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East to consider adoption of a proposed Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO FEES CHARGED FOR PRODUCTION OF BROWARD COUNTY PUBLIC RECORDS; AMENDING SECTION 35.20 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ("ADMINISTRATIVE CODE"); AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The proposed Resolution, if approved, will amend Section 35.20 of the Broward County Administrative Code to allow the County to charge service fees for processing public records requests based on the lowest hourly rate within the pay range, plus benefits, of the job classification of the person(s) fulfilling the public records requests.
