MOTION TO APPROVE Work Authorization No. 11 between Broward County and Siemens Industry, Inc., pursuant to the Agreement for Building Automation and Technical Support, (No. BLD2122400A1), for upgrading the existing Building Automation System at the Government Center East Building for the total amount of $620,425, which includes a lump sum of $269,449 for materials, a not-to-exceed amount of $262,186 for labor, and a lump sum of $88,790 for subcontractor labor, and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute the same. In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.47(b)(1), Award Authority, Board approval is required for awards exceeding $500,000.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On July 16, 2021, Broward County ("County") and Siemens Industry, Inc., ("Siemens") entered into the Building Automation and Technical Support Agreement whereby Siemens provides maintenance, installation, repair, upgrade, and other services on various Building Automation Systems ("BAS") at County facilities.
The purpose of this project is to provide an upgrade to the BAS at the Broward County Government Center East Building located at 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301.
