Summary Explanation/Background

In June 2024, Broward County Central Broward Regional Park will host games for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.  For many in our community, the price of tickets to this event will be out of reach.  Therefore, the City of Lauderdale Lakes (“City”) plans to set up a fan park during each game to allow the community to gather and watch the games.  This item proposes a donation of $50,000 in support of the City’s efforts. The County funding will support the infrastructure and entertainment for the event, including the rental of screens and audio equipment.
