B. MOTION TO AUTHORIZE Director of Purchasing to negotiate and execute resultant open-end contract to sole source vendor, EPR Systems USA Inc., for ESO Fire Records Management Software, for the Broward County Office of Regional Communications and Technology, in the estimated amount of $504,000 for a term of up to five years, and authorize the Director of Purchasing exercise any renewal options provided, subject to review and approval of the resultant open-end contract for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.

Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with Broward County Procurement Code Section 21.25(a), Sole Source Procurement, sole source procurements above the award authority of the Director of Purchasing must be approved by the Board.
In accordance with Broward County Procurement Code Section 21.47(a), Award and Execution Authority, the Board shall make all awards, and authorize the execution of the associated contracts, with a value of more than $500,000, inclusive of the value of any renewals or extensions provided for in the contract.
What Action Accomplishes
Designates EPR Systems USA Inc. as the sole source to provide ESO Fire Records Management Software for the Broward County Office of Regional Communications and Technology.
Authorizes the Director of Purchasing to award a resultant open-end contract for ESO Fire Records Management Software for the Broward County Office of Regional Communications and Technology.
