MOTION TO APPROVE Grant Agreement between Florida Sports Foundation and Broward County, in the amount of $100,000 effective April 19, 2024 through June 16, 2024, to provide support for the costs of hosting the 2024 ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup; authorize Mayor and Clerk to execute same; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Grant Agreement.

B. MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution in the amount of $100,000 within the CVB Private Grants Fund for the purpose of supporting promotional costs associated with hosting the 2024 ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup.

Why Action is Necessary
A. In accordance with Broward County Code, Chapter 1, Section 1-20, action by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners is necessary to execute the grant agreement.
B. County Commission approval is necessary to receive and appropriate grant funds and unanticipated revenues.
What Action Accomplishes
A. Approval of the Florida Sports Foundations Grant Agreement enables the County to accept the grant funding.
B. Recognizes and appropriates grant funds to support promotional costs associated with hosting the 2024 ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup.
