Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and County policies, a public hearing is required to receive public input on the Fiscal Year 2025 Transit Capital Program of Projects (POP). A POP is a list of projects that includes a brief description of the projects, total project costs, local share, and federal share for each project and the statutory provisions of 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53 require that the County as a designated recipient of FTA funds provide an opportunity for a public hearing to obtain the views of the public on the proposed POP.
