Summary Explanation/Background
We conducted an audit of the agreement between Broward County and Bridges Everglades, LLC, For Concessions Operations at Everglades Holiday Park.
Our audit objectives were to determine whether concession services and related capital improvements are performed in accordance with contract terms, and to determine whether revenues are accurately reported, accounted for, and transmitted to the County.
We conclude that concession services and related capital improvements are performed in accordance with contract terms. We also conclude that revenues are not accurately reported, accounted for, and transmitted to the County. Opportunities for Improvement are included in the report.
We appreciate the cooperation and assistance provided by the Parks & Recreation Division throughout our audit process.
