MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution Naming County-Owned Property, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, NAMING COURTROOM WW11166, LOCATED AT THE BROWARD COUNTY JUDICIAL COMPLEX, AS "THE JAMES FOX MILLER COURTROOM" IN HONOR OF THE LATE JAMES FOX MILLER, A RESPECTED MEMBER OF THE BROWARD COUNTY LEGAL COMMUNITY; DIRECTING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE NAMING OF THE COURTROOM; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

This item proposes that the Board name Courtroom WW11166 at the Main Courthouse, located at 201 S.E. Sixth Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301 ("Courtroom"), in honor of the late James Fox Miller.
James Fox Miller was a prominent family law attorney who litigated many cases at the Main Courthouse throughout his decades-long career. Mr. Miller made numerous significant contributions to the legal community, including serving as the President of The Florida Bar from 1990-1991 and as special counsel to The Florida Bar on various matters. He also contributed to the legal community through his various teaching roles, including teaching courses for The Florida Bar and at various law schools in Florida.
