MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution Naming County-Owned Property, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, NAMING THE STIRLING ROAD BRANCH LIBRARY AS "THE MARTA-BETH FRIEDMAN STIRLING ROAD BRANCH LIBRARY" IN HONOR OF THE LATE MARTA-BETH FRIEDMAN, A RESPECTED MEMBER OF THE BROWARD COUNTY COMMUNITY; DIRECTING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE NAMING OF THE LIBRARY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

This item proposes that the Board name the Stirling Road Branch Library, located at 3151 Stirling Road, Hollywood, Florida 33312 ("Library"), in honor of the late Marta-Beth Friedman.
Marta-Beth Friedman made significant contributions to the Broward County community through her humanitarian service. She was an active member of the Broward County Library Advisory Board for over 20 years and was instrumental in the establishment of the Library. She also championed early childhood literacy and education and helped to develop programs that provide family support services and subsidized childcare.
