MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of a Public Hearing to be held on October 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East, to consider transmittal to designated State review agencies of a proposed amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan text (PCT 24-3), establishing the Fort Lauderdale Uptown Urban Village Activity Center, as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan. (Commission Districts 4 and 8)

Why Action is Necessary
It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners prior to transmittal of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolutions direct the County Administrator to set a public hearing for October 8, 2024, to consider transmittal to designated State review agencies of proposed map amendment PC 24-6, and corresponding text amendment PCT 24-3, which are amendments to the Broward County Land Use Plan, pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.
