Summary Explanation/Background
The Board adopted revisions to the text of the Broward County Land Use Plan designating Activity Centers within the City of Hollywood ("City") as follows: the Hollywood Downtown Regional Activity Center, created on June 28, 2005; the Transit Oriented Corridor (State Road 7/U.S. 441) Activity Center, created on September 28, 2010; the Diplomat Activity Center, created on September 10, 2019; and the Oakwood Plaza Activity Center, created on April 26, 2022 (collectively, the "Activity Centers"). In order to transfer monitoring responsibility within the Activity Centers to the City, the Broward County Land Use Plan requires an Interlocal Agreement between the City and Broward County ("County") that provides for municipal monitoring of development activity and enforcement of permitted land use densities and intensities within the Activity Centers. The attached Interlocal Agreements between the County and the City would meet this requirement.
