Summary Explanation/Background

The Broward County South Regional Courthouse is located at 3550 Hollywood Boulevard in the City of Hollywood. Substantial improvements to the South Regional Courthouse are needed. The City of Hollywood has contacted the County to propose a property exchange that could result in constructing a new South Regional Courthouse on other property.

This item permits Board discussion of the City’s proposal and the status of the County’s plans for the South Regional Courthouse.

This item is submitted after the deadline for supplemental items because the sponsor was recently contacted by the City of Hollywood regarding this proposal; deferral to a subsequent discussion would delay planning efforts by the County and the City for their respective properties.
