Summary Explanation/Background
THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 114 townhouse units; 355 mid-rise units; 30,000 square feet of community center; 9,620 square feet of church; 7,850 square feet daycare; and 8,250 square feet of commercial use on approximately 19 acres located on the north side of Northwest 26 Street, between Northwest 21 Avenue and Northwest 25 Avenue, in the City of Oakland Park.
The applicant proposes a total of 469 dwelling units and was subject of Broward County Land Use Plan (BCLUP) amendment PC 24-5, which was approved by the Broward County Commission on September 5, 2024. The Development shown on this plat is subject to Policy 2.16.2 of the Broward County Land Use Plan.
