MOTION TO NOTE FOR THE RECORD that the County Administrator executed a Third Modification to the Subgrant Agreement between the Florida Division of Emergency Management ("Subgrant Agreement") and Broward County to reinstate and extend the terms of the Subgrant Agreement through February 28, 2026, to allow for completion of the retrofitting of the North and Central Homeless Assistance Centers' ("HAC") structures and for the installation of emergency generators. (Commission District 8)

Why Action is Necessary
Pursuant to the Board's delegation of authority on May 7, 2019, to execute contracts, amendments, work authorizations, grant applications, grant awards, and other legal documents relating to hurricane and disaster planning, notice to the Board of any action taken pursuant to the delegation must be placed on the next available agenda after such action.
What Action Accomplishes
Notifies the Board of action taken to modify the original Subgrant Agreement to reinstate and extend the term of the agreement through February 28, 2026.

THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL ON THE ABOVE MOTION.
On December 9, 2019, the Broward County Administrator executed Subgrant Agreement H0383 for project No. 4337-93-R relating to the North and Central HAC for wind mitigation retrofitting and generator installation projects at the facilities. The wind mitigation and generator improvements portion of the project is partially funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's ("FEMA") Hazard Mitigation Grant Program ("HMGP") and is subject to the Federal fund's terms and conditions.
