Title: MOTION TO APPROVE First Amendment to Contract No. JH026-15-2027 for Home Care for the Elderly (“HCE”) Program between Areawide Council on Aging of Broward County, Inc., and Broward County, to increase the Contract amount by $85,864 for a new total of $382,007, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, to increase the level of home- and community-based services for eligible seniors; authorize the County Administrator to execute amendments to the Contract, subject to legal sufficiency review and approval by the County Attorney’s Office, provided such amendments do not impose any additional financial obligations on the County; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Contract as amended.

THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ELDERLY AND VETERANS SERVICES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This action supports the Commission’s value of “building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives” and the goal of “delivering accessible human services that holistically address the whole person collaboratively and compassionately.”
