A. MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator to approve and execute Second Amendment to Agreement No. 25-HOSS-HIP-2274-01 between Broward County and Women in Distress of Broward County, Inc., effective October 1, 2026, to increase the Agreement’s maximum funding amount from $48,688 to $101,429 and add housing case management as an authorized service category, to be consistent with the intent and impact of programs serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Broward County; subject to legal sufficiency review and approval by the County Attorney’s Office; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Agreement as amended.
B. MOTION TO APPROVE waiver of conflict under Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes, for the following Broward County advisory board member holding an employment or contractual relationship with an entity receiving funds for the performance of services under this agenda item:

Why Action is Necessary
A. Broward County Board of County Commissioners (“Commission”) approval is required for agreements with external agencies.
B. A waiver of conflict arising under Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes, requires two-thirds approval by the Commission.
What Action Accomplishes
Approval of Motion A enables the allocation of funds to continue providing services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Broward County.
Approval of Motion B waives the existence of any conflicts arising under Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes, as authorized under applicable law.
