MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on November 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East to consider enactment of a proposed Ordinance, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO ZONING; AMENDING SECTION 39-4 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES (“CODE”) TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF CERTIFICATE OF USE; AMENDING SECTION 39-19 OF THE CODE TO PROVIDE CERTIFICATE OF USE REQUIREMENTS FOR HOLIDAY WAYSIDE STANDS; AMENDING SECTION 39-85 OF THE CODE TO PROVIDE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INSTALLATION AND PERMITTING OF SYNTHETIC TURF; REPEALING SECTION 39-239 OF THE CODE RELATING TO HOLIDAY WAYSIDE STAND PERMITS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The existing provisions of Section 39-239 of the Code require a separate holiday wayside stand permit and include outdated requirements that have made it difficult for members of the public to obtain the necessary approval.
