Summary Explanation/Background
In light of the very strong working relationship that has been established over the past eleven months between the current Mayor and the current Vice-Mayor and the high level at which the entire County Commission has operated during Fiscal Year 2026, this item would reschedule the November 17, 2026, reorganization meeting to occur on Thursday, April 1, 2027.
This item is submitted after the deadline for supplemental items in order to allow Fiscal Year 2026 to conclude prior to submission but should not be deferred to a subsequent agenda in order to permit appropriate planning for the continued tenure of the current Mayor.
