MOTION TO ENACT Ordinance adopting a Small-Scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 25-2), located in the City of Pompano Beach (Commission District 4), as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL-SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF POMPANO BEACH; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
Pursuant to Section 163.3184(11), Florida Statutes, as amended, Broward County Comprehensive Plan amendments shall be adopted by Ordinance by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body.
What Action Accomplishes
The Ordinance adopts Broward County Land Use Plan Small-Scale map amendment PC 25-2, in accordance with Section 163.3187(1), Florida Statutes, as amended.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small-scale amendment, PC 25-2, at its May 22, 2025, public hearing and recommended approval, including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 14-0: Abramson, Brunson, Castillo, Geller, Gomez, Greenberg, Hardin, Horland, Levy, Newbold, Rosenof, Ryan, Zeman and DiGiorgio):

From Recreation and Open Space to Transportation
Approximately 48.0 acres; generally located on the southeast corner of Copans Road and the FEC Railway.
