Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION AND THE OFFICE OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Broward County’s Intergovernmental Affairs staff are required to attend the State’s legislative session in Tallahassee. To avoid staff having to commute back and forth between Broward County and Tallahassee, the proposed Residential Lease would allow staff to reside at 805 Miccosukee Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308 during the four month lease term, beginning on January 6, 2025, and ending on May 6, 2025. The monthly rent will be $2,700, which includes internet, electricity, water, natural gas, and solid waste services. The home was built before 1978, and the County received the legally required pamphlet Protect Your Family From Lead in Your Home attached hereto as Exhibit 2.
The Residential Lease has been reviewed and approved as to legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.
