Previous Action Taken

The Board appropriated $3,000,000 to the BSO Department of Detention for inmate inpatient care costs as part of the Fiscal Year 2025 1st Supplemental Budget approved on December 10, 2024. Of this amount $1,000,000 was budgeted in operating expenses and the remaining $2,000,000 was budgeted in reserves. On September 4, 2025, the Board approved the Fiscal Year 2025 3rd Budget Amendment, which included the transfer of $553,041 from the BSO Department of Detention reserve to the Department of Detention operating budget to pay invoices for inmate inpatient care costs. This previous action left $1,446,959 in the reserve.
