MOTION TO ENACT Ordinance adopting a Small-Scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 25-7), located in the Broward Municipal Services District (Commission District 5), as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL-SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE BROWARD MUNICIPAL SERVICES DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
Pursuant to Section 163.3184(11), Florida Statutes, as amended, Broward County Comprehensive Plan amendments shall be adopted by Ordinance by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body.
What Action Accomplishes
The Ordinance adopts Broward County Land Use Plan Small-Scale map amendment PC 25-7, in accordance with Section 163.3187(1), Florida Statutes, as amended.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small-scale amendment, PC 25-7, at its October 23, 2025, public hearing and recommended approval subject to the applicant’s voluntary commitment to restrict up to 474 multi-family dwelling units as affordable housing at the “moderate-income” level for 30 years, including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 14-0: Abramson, Brunson, Castillo, Fisher, Geller, Gomez, Greenberg, Hardin, Horland, Levy, Newbold, Rosenof, Zeman and DiGiorgio):

Approximately 39.4 acres; generally located on the east side of Southwest 46 Avenue, between Peters Road and Southwest 21 Manor.
