Summary Explanation/Background

THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HOUSING AND URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Housing and Urban Planning Division has received a request to vacate and annul a portion of a 30-foot-wide Drainage and Flowage Easement lying within Parcel 3 of Oriole Golf and Tennis Club Section Two plat, as recorded in Plat Book 78, Page 21 of the Official Records of Broward County, Florida, generally located north of West Atlantic Boulevard on the west side of Northwest 76 Avenue, in the City of Margate. Vacating these easements will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owner.

The City of Margate passed and adopted Resolution 26-046 on August 19, 2026, granting approval of the vacation. Review of this application by the applicable reviewing agencies indicates that there is no objection to the vacation of the subject easement.

This vacation application has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney (Exhibit 1). This vacation application has been publicly noticed ten days prior to the hearing date and will be noticed ten days after the hearing date, in a newspaper of general circulation in Broward County, pursuant to Section 125.66, F.S. and Section 336.10, F.S., as applicable.
