Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On June 14, 2022 (Item No. 50), the Board approved Lease No. GS-04P-LFL01858, a Terminal Building Lease Agreement (“TBLA”) between County and the United States General Services Administration (“GSA”), for the lease and use of 10,135 square feet of space by the Transportation Security Administration at FLL. The TBLA expires on September 14, 2027.
GSA has requested that the TBLA be amended to incorporate Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.222-90, “Addressing DEI Discrimination by Federal Contractors.” The proposed amendment will incorporate this clause into the TBLA and establish related compliance, reporting, recordkeeping, and subcontractor requirements.
GSA prepared the amendment using standardized GSA forms, and the Office of the County Attorney reviewed and approved it as to form. As is customary for GSA leases, County, as lessor, must execute the amendment before execution by GSA.
