Commission action is necessary to accept the conservation easement required as a condition of Tree Removal License No. TP26-1065, issued pursuant to Chapter 27 of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action supports the goal of “ensuring accessible, seamlessly integrated investments in renewable energy, sustainable practices, manufacturing, resilient infrastructure, and environmental protection.”
On July 16, 2026, the Environmental Permitting Division issued Tree Removal License No. TP26-1065. As a condition of the license, ECOAR, LLC, was required to establish an approximately one-acre onsite conservation area and convey to the County a Deed of Conservation Easement (Exhibit 1) over the property depicted on Pages 10 through 12 of Exhibit 1 to ensure the conservation area remains protected in perpetuity and is maintained by the grantor.
