A. MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administration to negotiate and execute a sponsorship agreement with the American Jewish Committee, for a term from the effective date through September 30, 2026, and in the total amount of $50,000, to fund catering, books, and materials for family-friendly programs and displays in coordination with Broward County Libraries for Jewish American Heritage Month events during May 2026, subject to review and approval for legal sufficiency by the County Attorney’s Office.
B. MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution transferring funds from reserve within the General Fund in the amount of $50,000 for the purpose of providing Fiscal Year 2026 funding to the American Jewish Committee for the referenced sponsorship agreement; and to authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions required to implement the foregoing. Funds will be utilized for coordination between the American Jewish Committee and Broward County libraries for Jewish American Heritage Month events in May 2026, with funding covering catering, books, and materials for family-friendly programs and displays.
Sponsorship funds will be utilized solely during the period prior to September 30, 2026, and solely for the referenced purposes in accordance with the sponsorship agreement that will be negotiated and executed by the County Administrator, subject to review and approval for legal sufficiency by the County Attorney’s Office.
