On September 4, 2025 (Agenda Item 43), the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida approved the First Amendment to extend the inspection period and clarify the testing permitted during the inspection period.

THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item relates to activities in the Broward Municipal Services District, formerly known as Unincorporated Broward County. The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the District and provides municipal services for the area.
On September 4, 2025 (Agenda Item 43), the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida approved an amendment to the Purchase and Sale Agreement between Edison Wheeler (“Seller”) and Broward County to extend the inspection period and clarify the testing permitted during the inspection period.
During the Phase II environmental analysis on the parcels, elevated arsenic levels were found in the ground that will need to be monitored. Following negotiations, Seller has agreed to reduce the purchase price by $35,000. This reduction will change the purchase price from $2,100,000 to $2,065,000.
