Motions A. and B. Board of County Commissioners’ approval is required to amend Agreement language.

Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTIONS.
On January 25, 2022, Item No. 67, the Board approved the Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation for RFP No. PNC2123379P1, Consultant Services for BIM, VDC, Laser Scanning and Associated Services, Continuing Term.
On December 13, 2022, Item No. 25, the Board approved the County Administrator to execute Agreements during the Board’s 2022/2023 Winter Recess (December 14, 2022, through January 24, 2023). Exhibit 1, Additional Material - Information Included the Agreements between Broward County and VDCO Tech, Inc. and EXP U.S. Services, Inc. respectively. The Agreements have a maximum total of $5,000,000 for the entirety of each Agreement and were executed by the County Administrator on January 20, 2023.
Motions A and B seek to amend the Agreement to adjust the authority of the Director of Purchasing to execute Work Authorizations and amendments in amounts between $50,000 and $500,000 for each Work Authorization, rather than per individual contract as originally approved to facilitate the County’s ability to authorize the performance of Services in an efficient and timely manner, all in the best interest of the County.
The Amendments have been reviewed and approved by the Office of the County Attorney as to form.
