District 9’s office has remaining Fiscal Year 2024 budgeted funds that it would like to use to support the organizations listed below for the listed purpose. These organizations need financial assistance to continue to carry out their efforts, and it is District 9’s goal to further their missions through these proposed agreements.
Youth Empowerment Village (YEV): $7,500 to support transportation for Children's Week
Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes: $750 to support youth leadership
Kiwanis Club of Lauderhill: $750 to support youth leadership
Kiwanis Club of Sunrise: $750 to support youth leadership
Christian Community Church of God: $750 to support their food pantry
County Commission District 9 only recently ascertained the amount of remaining funds in the office account for Fiscal Year 2024. The September 17, 2024, meeting is the final meeting of the Fiscal Year at which an agreement may be approved to be executed before the end of the Fiscal Year.
