Summary Explanation/Background

THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This Participating Addendum provides for technical and support services to reliably synchronize the County’s existing data between Geographic Information System (GIS) and Asset Management System (Maximo).

The purpose of this item is to approve a First Amendment modifying the term of the Participating Addendum to be coterminous with the GSA Multiple Award Schedule Master Agreement (GSA Master Agreement), unless earlier terminated by the County, to authorize up to three additional five-year renewal terms, and to provide additional funding for the GeoWorx software (Exhibit 1).

The GSA Master Agreement was competitively procured as part of a Multiple Award Schedule. The GSA Master Agreement No. 47QTCA20D00BQ, awarded to Geonexus Technologies, L.L.C. (Geonexus), became effective on June 24, 2020 through June 23, 2025, with three five-year renewal options for a total 20-year agreement (Exhibit 2). The GSA Master Agreement permits other governmental entities to utilize the contract terms.

On April 27, 2022, the Director of Purchasing approved the Participating Addendum, pursuant to GSA Multiple Award Schedule Master Agreement for Information Technology Software with Geonexus, to allow for the purchase of software licenses and maintenance services. Although the potential term of the GSA Master Agreement is through June 23, 2040, the Participating Addendum expressly limited the term of the Participating Addendum to the five-year authority of the Director of Purchasing.

The amounts referenced in this agenda item were rounded to the nearest whole dollar.
