A. THANK YOU - COMMISSIONER FISHER
ACTION: (T-1:58 PM) Commissioner Fisher thanked Juliet Murphy Roulhac, Senior Director of Corporate External Affairs for Broward and Southwest Florida for Florida Power & Light Company, for her many years of service as a government liaison and wished her well in her retirement. B. BIRTHDAY - COMMISSIONER FISHER

C. CONGRATULATIONS - COMMISSIONER FURR
ACTION: (T-1:59 PM) Commissioner Furr congratulated Caryl Shuham, who will be his successor on the Board of County Commissioners. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)

ACTION: (T-1:59 PM) Commissioner Furr thanked Senior Assistant County Attorney Nathaniel Klitsberg and Assistant County Attorney Matt Haber for the enormous amount of legal work they have accomplished in connection with the Solid Waste Authority. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
E. AQUATIC PRESERVE - COMMISSIONER FURR
ACTION: (T-1:59 PM) Commissioner Furr discussed finalization of a management plan for the Kristin Jacobs Coral Aquatic Preserve and thanked the Resilience Department for their contributions. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
F. SCHOOL BOARD - COMMISSIONER FURR
ACTION: (T-2:01 PM) Commissioner Furr relayed requests from the School Board, which included use of Broward County Transit System for high school students, as well as a County/District partnership to secure the Amerant Bank Arena for Broward High School graduations. In response to Commissioner Furr, Commissioner Rich discussed coordination of discussions in relation to transportation issues and graduation facilities. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
G. VACANT PROPERTIES - COMMISSIONER ROGERS
ACTION: (T-2:03 PM) Commissioner Rogers encouraged conversation between the County and the School Board in relation to the potential of vacant properties. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
H. CANVASSING BOARD - MAYOR BOGEN
ACTION: (T-2:04 PM) Following the reading of a script for the record in relation to identifying a Canvassing Board representative for the November General Election cycle, Mayor Bogen confirmed his unavailability to serve, and County Attorney Andrew Meyers confirmed Vice-Mayor McKinzie’s availability to serve in this capacity. In addition, Commissioner Fisher and Commissioner Udine were appointed to serve as alternates in November. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)

ACTION: (T-2:06 PM) Commissioner Rich thanked Patrice Paldino, Broward County Housing Options Solutions and Supports Division Director, and staff for their efforts in dealing with the NOFO for homeless through HUD. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
J. PROPERTY TAX - COMMISSIONER RICH
ACTION: (T-2:08 PM) Commissioner Rich advocated for education efforts with respect to issues regarding the property tax amendment and the impact on local services. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
In response to Commissioner Rich, Commissioner Udine discussed the need for a concerted effort between the Legislature and local governments in relation to affordability. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
K. CONGRATULATIONS - COMMISSIONER UDINE
