Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Licensee is the owner of a commercial property located at 3081 West McNab Road, Pompano Beach, Florida 33069, and has applied to Broward County’s Environmental Permitting Division for a Surface Water Management License (“SWML”) for its property. The SWML application process requires the applicant demonstrate the legal right to access and install drainage infrastructure over and across the adjacent County-owned property to discharge the surface water from Licensee’s property into a drainage canal owned by Broward County.
Approval of the Revocable License Agreement will grant the Licensee the necessary rights to access and use the designated portion of County-owned property for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the drainage equipment. This approval will also enable the County to issue the SWML to the Licensee.
All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
